Meet the EdMedKids research team!

The EdMedKids team is led by David L. Wodrich, PhD, professor in the Department of Disability and Psychoeducational Studies at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. He is supported by two University of Arizona PhD students: Megan Aros and Andrew Tesoro. Before moving to a full-time university position, Dr. Wodrich was Director of Psychology at Phoenix Children’s Hospital (AZ), where his interests included school re-integration of students with pediatric illnesses. As a professor, he has conducted research on the effects of various pediatric illnesses on school success, often in collaboration with physicians at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. He has also supervised students’ theses and dissertations and publishes extensively in school psychology as well as medical journals (see attached CV). Ms. Aros has research interests that include chronic illness in youth and school psychological services. She is now preparing a doctoral dissertation proposal on the topic of teachers’ understanding of student’s seizures (see attached CV). Mr. Tesoro also has research interests in pediatric illnesses at school as well as neurosciences at school. He is now preparing a dissertation proposal on teachers’ willingness to accommodate students with Diabetes (see attached CV).
