EdMedKids is designed to help teachers educate students with chronic illnesses. It does so by offering information and tools uniquely crafted for teachers. This includes basic medical facts about common pediatric illnesses, classroom implications of each illness, and ways to minimize school problems (see Specific Illnesses). Also offered are facts about students’ rights and entitlements (see Disability Rights), and we present several reproducible documents that research suggests teachers sometimes require (see Teacher Toolbox).
EdMedKids was developed at the University of Arizona with the generous support of a grant from the Jacqueline Anne Morris Memorial Foundation
